Our Physicians



Our Physicians are affliated with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Family Practice Residency Program as Preceptors and are FSU College of Medicine Clerkship Faculty members. Our physicians have hospital privileges at bothTallahassee Memorial HealthcareandCapital Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Duncan Postma came to Tallahassee in 1986 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he had been an assistant professor. He received his board certification in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in 1982. He has extensive experience in pediatric ENT as well as cancer of the head and neck. He has published numerous articles and book chapters and was elected a member of the subspecialty society of the American Head and Neck Society at one time. He is an assistant clinical professor at UNC-Chapel Hill and participates as an assistant clinical professor with the FSU College of Medicine.


Dr. Spencer Gilleon is from Tampa, Florida and began practicing in Tallahassee in July, 1991. He received his Bachelor’s degree at Virginia Tech and a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences at Emory University. Having graduated from medical school at the University of Florida in 1986, he completed five years of internship and otolaryngology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. He is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and is affiliated with the FSU College of Medicine as an assistant clinical professor.


Dr. Adrian Roberts was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies in 1985 and his medical school training in 1989 at the University of Florida. He subsequently completed his surgical internship and otolaryngology residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Roberts received his board certification in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in 1995. His practice included all aspects of otolaryngology. He is an assistant clinical professor at the FSU College of Medicine. Dr. Roberts serves as the director of our audiology services.


Dr. Marie O. Becker is from Houston, Texas and began practicing in Tallahassee in August of 1995. She completed her undergraduate studies in 1985 at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish, magna cum laude. She graduated from medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and went on to complete her internship and residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 1995. Dr. Becker is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She participates as an assistant clinical professor with the FSU College of Medicine.


Dr. Robert Snider is originally from Missouri, but came to Tallahassee in 1968 after completing his residency at the University of Mississippi. He also received a year of training at the University of Pennsylvania in otolaryngology at the graduate school of medicine. He received his undergraduate training at the University of Missouri with an AB degree in Chemistry. He interned and served in the United States Air Force for 2 years as a Flight Surgeon. He is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, and Otolaryngic and Nasal Allergy. He is affiliated with the FSU College of Medicine as an assistant clinical professor.


Dr. Joseph Soto is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and began practicing in Tallahassee in July, 2005. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1996. Dr. Soto continued his medical education at Vanderbilt and was awarded the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Award of Distinction when he graduated in 2000. He completed his general surgery internship at St. Joseph Hospital and his otolaryngology residency at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Soto is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and his practice encompasses all aspects of otolaryngology. He, too, is an assistant clinical professor with FSU College of Medicine.


Tricia Skinner is a Nurse Practitioner and our patient education coordinator. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she was head nurse and clinic manager at the University of North Carolina in the Ear, Nose and Throat Department and clinical director at Tallahassee Ear, Nose and Throat. In 1995, she completed her Master’s degree at Florida State University. Tricia also manages our Electronic Medical Records system, which she has customized for our specific needs.
